Wood jewelry box, 'Affia'

Madam Adwoa shapes naturally dried sese wood into an exquisite jewelry box. Oval in shape, its surface is covered with an intricate array of Adinkra symbols. The gye nyame character on the lid means "I am afraid of none except God." Named Affia, it signifies the name given by the Akan people to a girl born on Friday.
