With this soft, colorful, 90 million-year-old California soapstone, you will be sculpting the finest rocks available, while enjoying an easy to cut and polish carving medium. Soapstone gets its name from its feel: smooth and slightly greasy, or soapy, which allows for a good polish. Each set is different with chunks in enchanting and surprising colors and varied in size (from 2 - 5 pounds). Total weight for each set is twenty pounds.
